The University of Limerick (UL) was founded in 1972 as the National Institute for Higher Education. Over the course of four decades, it has built up a reputation as one of Ireland’s leading centers of higher education, academic research, and community outreach. The university also has a large campus in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Ireland. This campus offers some undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Both campuses have residential halls where students can live while they study (this is mandatory for first-year students). The university is accredited by AAQI – Quality and Qualifications Ireland. The college is recognised as a centre of excellence for higher education and research, particularly on its two campuses: UL Main Campus at Roxboro; UL Waterford Institute of Technology at Dungarvan.

If you could go back in time and see some of Ireland’s most beautiful sites, where would you go first? You may think of places like Glenveagh Castle in Donegal or Malin Head in Donegal, but there are other amazing locations nearby that you might not know about.

The Rock of Cashel is an impressive castle fortress built between 10th and 13th centuries. It offers spectacular views over Tipperary and Cork counties and also houses a museum dedicated to preserving some local Irish history.

Another place to visit is Blarney Castle, which was originally built as a fortress by Cormac MacCarthy in 1446. The castle now serves as a tourist attraction and has become famous for its Blarney Stone at its peak. Legend has it that if you kiss the stone then your eloquence will increase.

This means that, so long as you keep up with your studies and do not fall too far behind, you will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in four years. This is great for students who are looking to save money or those who simply want to get out into their careers earlier.

Another interesting fact about UL is that all lectures are recorded and placed online for those who cannot make it to class on any given day.
